KKNDについて

Hello There!

    Kira Kira or キラキラ is derived from the Japanese,  onomatopoeia meaning  "Sparkling" or "Glittery". My work is heavily inspired by Japanese animation (think Studio Ghibli, Sailor Moon) and Japanese culture. I noticed when I went looking for nail art that suited my tastes, I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I was surprised by the relative lack of anime inspired themes.  Moreover, everything seemed so understated, muted, and restrained- it just felt like there was something conspicuously missing from the custom press-on world.
     So, it was with that in mind, that I decided to embark on the crazy journey of starting my own nail art business. I've loved nail art since I was a kid. I fondly remember going to nail salons with my mother as young as 5 years old and being completely spellbound everything there. I was enamored with the sparkles, designs, artistic detail, and importantly the racks upon racks of nail polish in every color and shade imaginable! After many years of ignoring the persistent creative urge that had been gnawing at the back of my mind,  I decided to throw caution to the wind, and to listen to what my heart was telling me, even if it entailed a degree of risk.

    I, Anastasia Lenz, design and craft each item by hand. Every piece and set is its own passion project. I want to tell an open-ended never-ending story with you, yes you. That story will forevermore be an interpretive, open dialogue of meaning with you my fellow glitter and beauty-enthusiasts. I want everyone who comes across my art to find joy in the sparkle. Above all, it is my hope that by "having nails that slay" your inner sparkle will then shine all the brighter. I hope that you enjoy wearing my art as much as I do creating it~
